High Times Magazine Collage Wall Art
I've finally found a way to put all those old High Times Magazines to use! Create a collage! In this blog I'll be showing you an easy and fun way to turn those magazines into wall art!
*If you would rather watch a video of this process then scroll to the bottom of the page and watch the video from my YouTube channel*
The supply list is simple
A few High Times Magazines
Scissors
Glue (I used my glue dot runner but any type of glue suitable for paper will do)
Paper (I used a card stock printer paper that's grey but you can use normal white printer paper)
Step 1
Open up your High Times Magazine and start hunting for your first picutre. I decided to go with some marijuana leaves that are in a grow room
Step 2
Choose the your favourite part of the picture that you want to be in the collage. Then you are going to cut it out in a triangular shape.
It doesn't really matter what size, just make sure your piece has three sides and it's cut relatively straight. Pro tip: Using large scissors makes it easier to cut the straight lines.
Step 3
Place your first triangle in the middle-ish of the page. I found it easy to work your way from the centre of the page out to the edge of the page
Step 4
Cut out a bunch more triangles! I decided to use pictures that show all the different parts of the cannabis plant (leaves, trichomes, buds, seeds and I added some concentrate shots in there)
Step 5
Arrange them on your page how you want them to look. As you can see from my picture above I left about the same width between all the pictures to give it a more uniformed look. But basically you want them to all fit together like a puzzle piece.
Step 6
Repeat steps 4 & 5 until your page is filled! It will get a bit more tricky as the page gets more filled but you can just cut your triangles to the size you need them to fill the gap.
Here's my finished collage
What do you think? I was pretty happy with how it turned out, and I had fun doing it!
I wanted to hang this in my office so I went off to the dollar store to find myself a frame.
Since I made this on printer paper the frame I needed was 8.5" x 11"
I chose a simple frame because it was cheap and I'm cheap.. and I like simple.
SO THERE YOU HAVE IT! I'm going to think up some other crafts using High Times Magazines because I have soo freakin' many of them so come follow me on the social networks below to see what else I come up with.. or see the ideas I steal off Pinterest..
